Covington Sept 30 – Death came suddenly to Roy A Holder, 51, at 6:30 p.m. Wed Sept 29 from a heart attack while working at the Bank Cigar Store which he operated on the north side of the square.  He was born Aug 11, 1892 in Fountain County the son of Isaac and Olive Brewer Holder.  On Jan 1, 1917 he was married to Nadine Holycross who survives. Surviving besides the widow are four daughters, Mrs. Lois Jackson of Crawfordsville; Miss Jean Holder of Indianapolis; Shirley Ann and Joan Kay at home; a son, William stationed at Camp McCoy, Wis; a granddaughter, Peggy at home; four brothers, Pearl of Kankakee; Percy and Herbert of Covington and Ray of Hammond; and two sisters, Mrs. Lena Lifter of Hammond and Mrs. Mell Schmelig of Denver.   He was a member of the Christian Church and the Covington Lions Club.  Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Crumley Funeral Home at Covington. Body is at the residence and will be taken to funeral home at 1 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. OW McGaughey of Veedersburg will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. - kbz
